Karnataka Poll: PM Modi to hold 36-km roadshow in Bengaluru on Saturday

According to P C Mohan, a member of the Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to conduct a 36.6-kilometer roadshow in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, on Saturday.

He has visited the Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Belagavi districts alone today as part of a tour of the state. In the recent days, he has addressed numerous public gatherings and staged a number of rallies in the poll-bound state.

Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda, and Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are among the other prominent senior leaders and star campaigners in the southern state for outreach programs.

Mohan told the news agency PTI that PM Modi’s upcoming roadshow in the state capital will be a big part of the BJP’s campaign for the Karnataka Assembly elections on May 10 and will pass through 17 of the city’s Assembly constituencies.

He added that PM Modi will travel 10 kilometers in three hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the remaining 26.5 kilometers in six hours from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Last Saturday, while the prime minister was in the city, he led a 5.3-kilometer roadshow that went through portions of Magadi Road, the NICE Road Junction, and Sumanahalli. He had been in the state for two days over the weekend, attending six public meetings and two roadshows.

Karnataka is set to cast a ballot next Wednesday, and the counting is booked for May 13.
