How to activate Aadhaar verification on your LinkedIn account

After the United States, India is the second market where LinkedIn adopts authentication using a government-issued ID. The Linkedin verification process is voluntary. However, it recommends that getting verified can increase a member’s trustworthiness and possibly lead to interesting opportunities.

LinkedIn users need a government-issued Aadhaar ID that must match the name on their LinkedIn profile. It should be noted that LinkedIn will not have access to the Aadhar number, so the official ID information will not be visible.

STEPS TO VERIFY ID ON LINKEDIN PROFILE WITH AADHAAR:

  1. Go to your LinkedIn profile and navigate to the “About this profile” section. Locate and click on the option labeled “Verify with Aadhaar”.
  2. On the DigiLocker screen that appears, provide your Aadhaar number as requested.
  3. Check your registered mobile number for the One Time Password (OTP) that will be sent to you.
  4. Hyperverge will conduct an instant verification with DigiLocker. If you don’t have a DigiLocker account, one will be automatically created for you.
  5. Complete a liveness check by capturing a selfie, which will be compared with the photo on your Aadhaar card.
  6. To add the verification to your LinkedIn profile, click the option “Yes, Share with LinkedIn.”
  7. Step 7: By following these steps, you can initiate and complete the verification process, allowing your LinkedIn profile to showcase the Aadhaar verification.
